Indian Association of San Joaquin County Scholarship Award
Every year during November Diwali celebrations, the INDIAN ASSOCIATION OF SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY (IASJC) awards scholarships ($1000 per awardee) to meritorious high school/college students of our county. In addition to exhibiting outstanding academic achievements, these students also demonstrate a financial need to finish their study or embark upon their next step in higher education. The applicants should meet or exceed the following criteria:
The scholarship awards $1000 per awardee during IASJC’s Diwali celebration. The awardees will be notified via email. To apply, please complete the following questionnaire. Please send your complete packet including this form, high school/college unofficial transcripts, and two letters of recommendation (if applicable) to shredha@comcast.net

In addition to exhibiting outstanding academic achievements, these students also demonstrate a financial need to finish their study or embark upon their next step in higher education. The applicants should meet or exceed the following criteria:
- The applicant is a resident of the San Joaquin County and attending/attended a school within the county.
- The applicant has participated in IASJC events, including but not limited to Diwali show. Community service hours are also accepted.
- The applicant is a high school senior or an undergraduate university student for the 2020-2021 academic year.
- The applicant has a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or above. Please attach your unofficial transcripts to the application.
- High School Seniors only: Please include two letters of recommendation from teachers and/or counselors. Please note that they are subject to verification. Any fraudulent submissions are subject to rejection.
- The applicant must complete the application, which includes applicant information, two essays, and a copy of student identification card.
